He was born on April 1, 1947 in Putnam County to Rusty and Edith Shoemaker.
Jerry had owned and operated Jerry’s Welding for many years.
Surviving are his children, Melissa York and husband David, Robert Shoemaker, and Richie Shoemaker and wife Lana; a sister, Wanda Lady; a brother John Shoemaker and wife Sheila; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2 P.M. at Forest Hill Cemetery.
An avid motorcyclist, Jerry enjoyed many miles on his Harley and enjoyed Treasure Hunting.
