Kenny was born in Greencastle, IN on November 26, 1958 to Merribeth (Knetzer) and Ray Wells. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, James (Jimmy) Wells and William (Billy) Wells; and a stepson, Colten (Colt) Booe.

Kenny was a student of the South Putnam Class of 1977. He then proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force for 20 years, 18 of which were with the Air National Guard in Terre Haute where he worked as an aircraft mechanic on F-4 and F-16 fighter jets. His dedication, discipline, and sense of duty were evident both in his military service and throughout his life. After retiring from the Air Force, he continued to serve others by running his own construction company for 13 years, working & managing at Auto Zone for 9 years, and working his way up from the receiving dock to becoming an Operations Manager at Walmart Logistics where he retired in 2017 after 11 years of service.
The Elk's Club was a favorite pastime for Kenny where he loved to meet his brother, his sons, and friends on Friday nights for a Bud Light, an occasional euchre tournament, and to tell a few of his wonderful stories. This lodge was a special place where he found camaraderie and a shared commitment to service and community. A celebration of life will be held at the Greencastle Elks at 202 South Indiana Street on Sunday, August 3rd from noon to 4pm to commemorate Kenny's kind heart, skilled hands, and steadfast spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kenny's memory to the American Cancer Society.
