Mrs. Smith was born, April 23, 1928 in Jackson, MI to Wilbur Clifford and Ethel (Lewis) Smith. She was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School and attended Butler University.
She had been a teller at First Citizens, Old Evansville, and Old National Banks. She was a member of Greencastle Baptist Church and volunteered at the Putnam County Hospital.
Mrs. Smith is survived by sons, Douglas (Juanita M.) and Dale K. (Sue Finstick) Smith; grandchildren, Amelia M. White and Renee N. Smith; and great-granddaughter, Cora Grace Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James C. Smith, and brother, Lloyd Smith.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, January 28, in Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather at 11:00 am until the time of the funeral. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
