Lester Allen Alexander, 75, of Greencastle passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family. Lester was born in Greencastle on March 2, 1945, the son of Everett and Julia (Brown) Alexander, and was a1963 graduate of Greencastle High School. Mr. Alexander owned and operated Alexander Masonry for 45 years. He was a life-time member of Greencastle Moose Lodge #1592, and had attained the Pilgrim Degree. He was also a Charter Member of the Eagles #4388.He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing with anyone that wanted to go. He loved going to Vegas. He bowled and sponsored many teams at his favorite bowling alley Varsity Lanes. He also sponsored a softball team that he played on with many of his friends. Later in life, he enjoyed going to, and having car shows, which came after his wife won their 2016 Shelby Mustang out at the “D” in Vegas! Survivors include his wife of 55 ½ years, Barbara Alexander, Greencastle; three children, Lester Alexander Jr., Greencastle, Leslie “Missy” Alexander-Terry, (partner-Keith), Coatesville, and Scott Alexander, (wife-Candy), Greencastle; five grandchildren, Kody Terry, Dylan Terry, Katlin Alexander, Samara Alexander, and Everett Alexander; two great grandchildren, Carter Terry and Olivia Alexander; a sister-in-law, Marlene Alexander; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donnie Alexander, and Harold Alexander; a sister, Linda Wills; a brother-in-law, Don Wills; and a sister-in-law, Barb Alexander. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. A Pilgrim Degree Ceremony will be held at 5:00 p.m. Due to the Covid-19, we encourage visitors to maintain a six foot distance as they walk-through line for visitation, and maintain this distance as they are seated for service.
