Louis Warren Ridgway III

Born May 4, 1949, in Greencastle the son of Louis Warren Jr. and Josephine (Bowman) Ridgway. He was a graduate of Mooresville High School “Class of 1967”. Louis was a graduate of Indiana Business College receiving an associate degree in accounting. He married Betty Jewel Poynter on February 14, 1971.

Louis retired from Pedigo Truck Sales where he had worked in sales and accounting. He had previously been an accountant for Wabash Ford. He was also active in farming most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years Betty Jewel Ridgway; brother Luther Ridgway; and sisters Diana Ridgway and Mary Ridgway.

Louis is survived by his sisters Debra Poynter and Talitha Ridgway; sister-in-laws Toni Ridgway, Devonna (Bill) Fogle and Carol (David) Winslow; brother-in-law Tim (Pam) Poynter; nephew Bobby Poynter, who was like a son to him; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Clinton Falls Cemetery. Interment will follow. Hopkins-Rector Funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
