Marcia Carol Simmerman

Born October 2, 1947, in Greenfield, IN, she was the daughter of Max Irwin and Betty (Sears) Strahl. She was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1965”.

Marcia worked at PR Mallorys for 35 years. She later retired from Heartland Automotive where she had worked for seven years. After her retirement she worked for Greencastle School Systems in the cafeteria.

She was a devoted member of the Calvary Fellowship Church in Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ronnie Strahl.

Marcia is survived by her husband of 57 years Michael D. Simmerman; children Michelle (Jamie) Case, Christy (Tom) Royse, and Ryan (Catharine) Simmerman; siblings Tanis Shaw, Beverly (Robert) New, & Rickey Strahl; grandchildren, Ashley Salsman, Amber McCombs, Joshua Akins, Michael Pettit, Kristen Pettit, Taylor Royse, Abby Simmerman, Jacob Simmerman, Sarah Simmerman, & Max Simmerman; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Calvary Fellowship Church 1260 N. Jackson St. Greencastle, IN. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until time of service on Friday.
