

Marvel was born in Attica on May 17, 1928, the son of Elvin and Lula (Hughes) Foley and was a 1946 graduate of Fillmore High School.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and Red Hat Society. She did in-home healthcare for many years and loved helping people. Marvel loved music and from an early age she would sing with her sister Roseanna at talent shows, entertainment halls, and churches. She played the piano and accordion by ear. Marvel also enjoyed sharing her love for God. She taught both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Most of all she loved her family.
Survivors include three children, Martha Schopmeyer, Greensburg, Merrilee Tubridy, Bedford, and Rose Moore, (Andrea) Mooresville; five siblings, Roseanna Maust, Linda Warfield, John Foley, Sam Foley and Tom Foley; five grandchildren Gerald Moore, Christine Moore, Stephanie Moore, Beth Campbell, (Maury), and James Kirkwood; three great-grandchildren, Maureen Garcia (Mario), Curtis Campbell and Dylan Kirkwood; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Moore; a special friend, Eileen Kayes; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 56 years, Lloyd I. Moore a son, Kenneth Moore; four siblings, Shirley Riley, Juanita Gillenwater, Amy Furr, and Ruth Irvin; and two sons-in-law, Gary Schopmeyer and Kevin Tubridy.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with LeAnne Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 until time-of-service Monday.
