Michael Ray Steele

Michael was born August 23, 1951 to Edgar N. and Virginia “Gail” Steele in Greencastle, IN.

Michael was a graduate of Bainbridge High School of the class of 1969. He was a member of the American Legion in Greencastle. He worked for 22 years at Hi-Tech in Crawfordsville IN as a foreman.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers Edgar “Ed” N. Steele Jr, Gary Allen Steele, and Bryan S. Steele (7/1/2024).

Michael is survived by his wife Rhonda Steele; three children, Deanna Bumgardner (Matt), Jon Steele, Cheryl Blue (Eric); sister Donna F. Williams (Jerry); grandchildren Abigail Steele, Brice Steele, Kenzie Bumgardner, Jacie Bumgardner, Brayden Baxter, Justin Baxter, Brayden Blue, and Megan Blue; great-grandchildren Mila Baxter and Mason Baxter; his furbaby Micky; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation service will be August 7, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on August 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm with an hour visitation prior to service, with Military Honors at the Graveside at Clinton Falls Cemetery to follow.
