Mildred Flo Phillips

Born December 23, 1935, in Greencastle, IN, she was the daughter of Eugene and Mary Edith (Rogers) Girton. She was a graduate of Fillmore High School “Class of 1953.”

Middy retired from First Citizens Bank Greencastle, where she was an assistant vice president in the loan department for several years. She was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church and the Putnam County Saddle Club. She loved to travel, go fishing & camping, and watch NASCAR Racing, the Indiana Pacers & Fever.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles K. Phillips; and brothers Fred (Joyce) Girton & Richard (Peggy) Girton.

Middy is survived by her daughters Karla (Eric) Losin and Charla Phillips; sister-in-law Luella Jackson; grandchildren Sara Jean Jelinski & Emily Rose (Chris) Hines; and great grandchildren Amelia, Stella, Savannah, Henry, & Oliver.

At her request private graveside services will be held at the Fillmore Cemetery. Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements.
