

Norman Keith Thompson, “Tommy”, age 86, was a resident of VanBibber Lake for over 40 years, passed away at Hendricks Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, after a long battle with several illnesses.
Born May 27, 1928 in Indianapolis, the son of Berlin and Pearl (Mattox) Thompson and was a graduate to Tech High School. He married Patty M (Nevins) Thompson on November 9, 1995.
Tommy was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with family and friends at the lake. He was also a General Motors employee for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Kenneth Thompson, a daughter, Debra Sue Handy, and a son, Tommy Kieth Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Thompson; five daughters, Jackie Howard of Brownsburg, Diana & Harley Johnson, Norma Jean & Charles Williams, Cathy Ann Hankins, and Kimberly Lee Wagers, all of Indianapolis; a sister, Joy Myers; a brother, Charles & Sonnie Thompson; five step children, Lora & Jerry Lawson of Fontanet, Nelda & Lily Frazier of VanBibber Lake, Larry & Marla Frazier of Terre Haute, John Frazier of Indianapolis, Danny & Lori Nevins of Terre Haute; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle with Pastor Danny Nevins officiating. Interment to follow at the Clinton Falls Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends, to share in the memories of Tommy, from 12:00 until time of service on Friday, January 30th at the funeral home.
