Otis Max Martin

Otis Max Martin, 83, of Greencastle passed away on September 13, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. Otis was born in Parke County on December 11, 1934, the son of Jesse O. and Eva M. (Bales) Martin, and was a graduate of 1954 Bainbridge High School. Mr. Martin Owned a grocery store, worked at Limedale Stone Query, Manhatten Ditching, and worked farming on the side. He was a long-time member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judy Martin; a step-daughter Rebecca Marshall, (husband-Walter); three step-sons, Mark Stimer, (wife Anna) and family, Brent Stimer and family, and Steve Stimer; two sisters, Betty Snodgrass, and Elsie Padgett; a brother, Everett Martin, (wife-Jackie); a step-grandson, Charles Marshall, a step-granddaughter, Miranda Vinyl, (Jesse); several nieces and nephews; his loving church family; and his big fat cat, Kitty Boy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lee Martin. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Little Walnut Cemetery with pastor Frank Brasel officiating. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
