Penelope Jean "Penny" Green

Born August 16, 1944 in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of George and Ruby (Honnold) Gardner. She was a graduate of Wiley High School and Union Hospital School of Nursing, Terre Haute.

Penny was a registered nurse at Putnam County Hospital for 31 years. She was a member of the Greencastle Christian Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post #104 in Terre Haute.

She married Kieth Nelson Green on June 10, 1977 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George Gardner.

She is survived by her five children, Michael(Julie) Lee, Laurie Gobert, Jonathan (Shannon) Green, Julienne (Brett Terry) Green, and Byron Green; nine grandchildren, Keelie Allen, Connor Allen, Eryn Lee, Ellen Gobert, Nathan Gobert, Isabella Green, Evelyn Green, Lillian Green, and Alexandra Terry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 22nd at the funeral home.
