Robert was born in Freelandville, Indiana on May 22, 1927, the son of Alvin and Alma (Nieringhaus) Stoelting, and was a 1945 graduate of Freelandville High School Freelandville, Indiana.
Mr. Stoelting was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, and was a Quarter Century Club Member at IBM.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Doris Stoelting, Greencastle; and his two children, Carol Stoelting, Greencastle, and Mark A Stoelting, Greencastle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister who died at birth, Mary Louise Stoelting.
Services will be held 6:00 p.m. at Greencastle Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, with Pastor Wes Kendall officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Bethel Cemetery in Freelandville.
