Samantha Lynn Giles

Samantha was born in Greencastle on June 3, 1996, the daughter of Rusty Giles and Amanda (Morlan) Hubbard, and was a 2014 graduate of North Putnam High School. She attended Ivy Tech and was working on a double major in Cyber Security and Software Development.

Samantha worked for Moser Business Analysts as an Intern, she was also a CNA with Behavior Health at Methodist Hospital. She enjoyed crafting and loved her four legged children, Benny, Boosie, and Atticus.

Survivors include her wife, Lensy Schmidt; her parents, Rusty Giles, and Amanda Morlan and Joe Hubbard; two brothers, Blake and Tyler Giles; a sister, Haley Schmidt; her paternal grandparents, Rick Hassler and Theresa Portwood; her maternal grandparents David and Carolyn Miller three uncles, Casey Harris, Jonathan Hassler, and David Clay; and an aunt, Wendy Stevenson.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grand-father, Richard Morlan.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Jennifer Evans officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
