Steven Duane Stockton

September 25, 1967 – January 11, 2026

Steve Stockton, 58, of Greencastle, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was the oldest son of Harlin and Florence (Spencer) Stockton, born on September 25, 1967, in Greencastle, Indiana. He is survived by his loving parents.

Steve graduated from North Putnam High School in 1986 and later earned his bachelor's degree in forestry from Purdue University in 1991. His deep love for the outdoors guided his life and career. He served as Assistant Property Manager at Shakamak, Shades and Turkey Run State Parks, where he dedicated 27 years before retiring.

On April 8, 1995, Steve married the love of his life, Sherri Harcourt, in Fillmore, Indiana. She remained faithfully by his side throughout their life together and during his final moments.

Steve is survived by a large, devoted family, including his wife and beloved dog Gigi; his parents; his brothers Darrell (Amy) Stockton and Jason Stockton; nephews Riley Stockton and Dayton Stockton; his in‑laws Roger and Nancy Harcourt; sister‑in‑law Karen Harcourt; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many lifelong friends.
