Born in Moca, Dominican Republic on November 10, 1930, Aida was one of seven siblings to Juanita and Ramon Roberto Inoa. The family moved to the capital, Santo Domingo when Aida was a young woman. It was there in her new neighborhood that she met Ernesto Reyes of Tenares who was living in the capital to attend school. The two quickly hit it off and decided to create a life together in the capital. They were wed in August, 1964 and welcomed their first child the following year in October, 1965.
Aida and Ernesto would go on to have four beautiful children, who kept their hands full and hearts happy. An excellent wife and mother, Aida spent her years as a homemaker. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors, always willing to lend a helping hand or listening ear.
As her two oldest daughters moved to the United States in the late 80s, Aida and Ernesto began splitting their time between the two countries in 1993. With two children in the Dominican Republic and two in the United States, Aida loved spending her summers stateside and heading back home to tropics for the winter. She was a grandmother to six special grandchildren and her trips back and forth allowed her to share her love with them all.
In 2002, Aida permanently made Greensboro, North Carolina her home where she lived with her youngest daughter for the remainder of her life. A true family woman and a woman of faith, Aida was surrounded by her loved ones until her last day.
Aida was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Roberto and Juanita Inoa, husband, Ernesto Reyes, and siblings, Zoilo Inoa, Juan Inoa and Roberto Inoa.
Aida is survived by her four children, Aida Reyes Campbell (of Greensboro), Belkis Reyes Miller (of Greensboro), Ernestina Yanira Reyes (of Greensboro) and Ernesto Reyes (of Santo Domingo, DR); her six grandchildren Cristal Campbell Snow, Patrick Miller, Kayla Smith, Alscis Reyes, Ambar Guerrero and Dillon Reyes; three siblings, Carmen Inoa, Consuelo Inoa and Angel Inoa, and a long list of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
