Archie Thomas Canaday Sr. (Tom), of Summerfield, walked into Heaven on Monday, June 27, 2011 after a brief illness. Tom was a retired agent with Nationwide Insurance. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday June 29 at 2:00 in the afternoon at Westover Church in Greensboro. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.
Survived by his wife, Brenda Irving Canaday, Tom also is survived by his three children, Tommy & Lisa Canaday from Louisiana; Pam & Richard Fairchild of Mississippi; and Ann & Tommy Gill of Alabama. He had one sister & brother-in-law, Marion and Patricia Mosely of Florida. He had six grandchildren and many extended family members. In addition Tom is survived and loved by special families of Jeff & Gayle Mueller and Joe & Brooke Fowler. He loved them as his "bonus" children and their children as his "bonus" grandchildren.
