Dearest Bernice, Bernie & Family,
I was so surprised that it became your time Bernice to rise on up with God and all of our other relatives who have gone on beyond us to heaven. I so remember your love, sharing and support with our mother, Marcella (Matelski) Strong, your cousin in the last few years of her life. We live in Oregon. It was a very warming thing for her to connect with a relative who knew her or of her since she was a small child in the Berea, Cleveland, Norwalk Ohio area. I so remember our fun and fond phone conversations of about the last 8 years. My father, Stanley & 2 sisters, Debra and Sharen and I were visiting Strong & Matelski relatives in the Norwalk, OH area when you left us here on earth. May you skip with the Lord Bernice!

I just realized this sweet lady passed away.   I worked at Wesley Long and the best days were when she was working in the gift shop.  I am so sorry for your loss!   I loved talking to her, she was the best!

Aunt Bernice always had the prettiest smile and when you talk to her she listened and connected with you, her voice had a calming effect, even if

Mrs Zales was a very sweet lady who was loved by many at her local Rite Aid Pharmacy. She always went out of her way to speak to me and make me laugh! She will be missed but I will hold on to the memories her and I shared during my time working at Rite Aid.

Jim and I extend our deepest sympathy to all the Zales family in the death of Mrs. Zales. We never met her but our daughter, Melissa Rhodes has talked about what a joy it was to get to know and be with her. We know how devoted David was to visit her every Monday night and to take her to Mass on Sunday mornings.  We have your family in our prayers and send our condolences.

Bernie and family, we are so sad to hear of Bernice's passing. She was always such a sweet and kind woman. I always looked forward to seeing her at OLG.  For Bernice it always seemed like there were two kinds of people in the world .... Bernice's friends and those she had not yet met. We will miss her greatly. Theresa and Mike O'Laughlin

I miss you and love you so much, Bernice, but you are in a much better place.  You had so much faith in God.  We had such precious times together with you and your whole family, and so many laughs - I will never forget those times, especially the time you, Margie and I went to Lexington to that big candy store.  I think about that all the time and laugh all over again.  But there were many times like that.  My prayers are with you and Boots and your family.  It is a pleasure to have you for my sister-in-law, but more like a sister.  My heart is broken.

I miss you so much Grandma! You were always a joy to talk to and be around. I'll always cherish your stories and our time together. I always loved talking to you about Cleveland and your time there with Papa and dad. And of course I will miss your spaghetti! I love you so much Grandma Z, always!!
