Billy was born in Red Ash, Virginia; son of the late Arthur and Matilda “Tilly” Ball.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ball; his daughter, Amanda M. Ball and his sister, Hazel Shelton.
Billy served in the United States Air Force prior to moving to North Carolina. He worked for 20 years at Guilford Mills and retired from Fairystone Fabrics as a textile machinist. Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Ball, Katherine Moseley, Mary McCoy, Betty Cole, Carol Dowdy and Shirley Lowe.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 at 2pm at Kildee Church in Ramseur, North Carolina.
