He is survived by his son, Ted and daughter-in-law Yoshimi of San Francisco, CA and partner Jerry Hale. Aside from a brief sojourn to California in his youth, Eddie was a lifelong resident of Greensboro. Although as of late, he could often be found catching rays poolside in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The only child of Evelyn and Charlie House, Eddie graduated from Greensboro High School and for a number of years worked for Sears and Roebuck Terminal Freight. Later in life he was able to transform his love of antiques into a storefront business in downtown Greensboro; Antiques and Accessories on Elm. He was an avid reader and an excellent cook. He especially enjoyed baking, trying new recipes and collecting cookbooks. In his spare time he spent many hours working in his yard gardening and planting. He lived a full and happy life, was loved by all and will be truly missed by his family and many friends.
A graveside service to Celebrate Eddie’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Guilford Memorial Park conducted by the Reverend Eugene Dean.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in Eddie’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016
