Born on July 16, 1945, C. L. was the son of the late Robert Lee York and Daisy Jester York.
C. L. attended Ragsdale High School. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army and received several badges and medals for his service as a parachutist with the 101st and the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam War.
C. L. owned and operated his own business, Mr. Muffler, in Thomasville for many years. He later retired from the City of High Point.
C. L. is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy York; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Pam York; his nephew, Bobby York and family; and his niece, Ashley Johnson and family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 1:50 pm with the service at 2:00 pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
