D. Reid White

He was a true proponent of "never let the truth get in the way of a good story", and he had volumes of stories to tell. His good nature and his generosity were appreciated by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine ("Catty")Webb White and his father, Harry ("Red") Ramsey White.

His survivors are brothers: H. Ramsey White, Jr. and his wife, Betsy; John W. White; Thorne N. White; nephews, H. Ramsey White, III and his wife, Virginia and Teylor N. White: nieces, Catherine W. Hankinson and her husband, Chad; and, Quinn K. Craughwell and her husband, Oliver. He is also survived by three grandnieces and two grandnephews.

Reid attended Florida Central Academy, Page High School, Greensboro College and The Culinary Academy at GTCC.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Reid Saturday, June 7, 4pm at Natty Greene’s Pub, 345 S. Elm St. second floor. In honor of Reid, imaginative stories, tales and feats will be tolerated, and, in fact, are encouraged. Casual dress. Drinks are the responsibility of each guest.
