Danny Keith Tester

Danny was preceded in death by his mother Thelma J. Tester.

Danny will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his surviving wife, Venus Tester, his 3 sons, Damien Tester (Haleigh), Davis Tester (Savannah), Dayton Tester; his father Arthur D. Tester (Linda Tester) of Creedmoor, NC; his older brother Wayne Tester (Georga Tester) of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Sheila Watts (Keith Watts) of Fries, VA and G’nene Tincher (Richard Tincher) of Junction City, KY.

Danny was interested in golfing, boating and a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team.

His three sons describe him as very competitive, honest, a great role model and an inspiration.

As a kid, he was very sports oriented, especially with baseball and football.

Danny grew up as a Military Brat, living in places like Alabama, Germany, California, and North Carolina.

He was very proud of his boys from childhood through adulthood. Danny had many friends, but his best friend was his dog Ruben, who never left his side.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, with the family receiving guests at 12:00 pm. There will be time available for family and friends to share fond memories of Danny. A short graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Dr., Greensboro, NC 27455 will be held immediately following the funeral. The pallbearers will consist of his three sons, Damien, Dayton and Davis Tester, his older brother, Wayne Tester, his cousin, Jimmy Ham and his brother-in-law, Richard Tincher. We would also like to mention honorable pallbearers and dear friends, Taylor Winslow, Sidney Mills, Adam Meadows and David Schoolfield.

Many of you may not know of Danny’s heartfelt generosity for those in need, especially toward the homeless. In honor of Danny, we ask that you keep his memory alive by paying it forward, and when you see a homeless person who’s down on their luck, please make a donation in Danny’s memory.
