David was born in Guilford County to the late Ray B. Kye and Mary Kathleen Mason Kye, who survives him. When he was 17, a car accident left him with numerous physical challenges and for many years David was cared for by the staff of Servant’s Heart. His family is especially grateful to Mr. Show and his caseworker Benita Harris.
He will be remembered for his positive outlook and friendly spirit. David kept an infectious positive attitude and brightened anyone’s day with his cheerful disposition. The Tarheels were his favorite team and he enjoyed watching football and experimenting in the kitchen. He was a member of Glenwood Friends Meeting.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his sister and her husband, Debbie and Steve Weadon of Greensboro and brother, Steven Carson of DeLand, FL; and niece, Danielle Woods and husband James of Greensboro.
