Dennis Ralph Peck, 67 of Browns Summit, NC, beloved husband and father, entered into rest on Friday, January 5th, 2024. The son of the late Cecil Sr. and Virginia Peck (Tilley), he was born July 7th, 1956 in Greensboro NC.
Dennis was a graduate of Guilford County Schools in Greensboro. He spent some time going back to college later in life and was doing his homework at night while his kids did theirs, and his wife graded papers. School was a family affair for a time. He never met anyone that he couldn’t talk to, which helped him in his career as an insulation salesman. He was born into the Baptist faith, but married a Catholic, and as his children started making their sacraments, he wanted to be a good example for them and converted to the Catholic faith. Since then has been a long-time parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Being around his family has always been the most important thing to Dennis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Karen (Clark) Peck, whom he married on July 20th, 1985 in Key West, FL; his children, Jenny Leonard (Matt) of Holly Springs, NC, Emily Peck of Browns Summit, NC, and Brian Peck of Browns Summit, NC.; brother, Chris Peck (Jo-Ann), 8 brothers-and sisters-in-law, 18 nieces and nephews, and 28 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil Sr. and Virginia Peck, and his brother, Cecil Jr.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Sunday, January 14th, at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N Elm St., Greensboro, NC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 15th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2210 N Elm St., Greensboro, NC.
