Dewey Henry Grant

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel at 2:00 pm. Rev. Dan Carter, Rev. Bill Coble and Rev. Avon Craven will participate. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.

Dewey was born to the late Henry and Hattie Chavis Grant. He was a US Army Air Corps Veteran, World War II. He was a loyal member of the State Street Church of God for fifty-seven years. He served as Sunday School Superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years Margaret Ethelene Grant; sisters, Alma Quick and Doris Murphy. Dewey is survived by his daughter, Linda Lewis; son, Donnie Grant; grandchildren, Sandy, Li, Candice, and Duke; and three great granddaughters, Madison, Paige and Riley. He is also survived by two sisters, Gracie Graham and Lucille Boone.
