Doris Causey Brown

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 10, 2016 at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, on Thursday evening, June 9, 2016.

Doris was born in Greensboro on July 22, 1936 to the late Luther and Sally Causey and was a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church. She graduated from Pleasant Garden High School and retired from Carson’s Furniture after 33 years of dedicated employment. Doris loved the simple things in life. She loved to fish and very much enjoyed working in her yard and took great pride in her flowers. Doris was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 14 years, John S. Brown of the home; son, Michael Anthony and his wife Bonnie of Walnut Cove; daughter, Michelle Stoots and her husband Gary of Franklinville; brother, Boyd Causey and his wife JoAnn of Level Cross; grandchildren, Shannon Stoots of Thomasville and Rachel Anthony of Walnut Cove; and great-grandchildren, Emanuel, Isaiah, and Hannah Briceno, all of Thomasville.
