
Rabbi Fred Guttman will conduct a service celebrating Dorothy’s life at 3:30 PM Tuesday, in Temple Emanuel, 713 N. Greene St., in Greensboro; the family will visit with friends following the service at the Temple on N. Greene St.
Mrs. Frank was a native of Berryville, VA and the daughter of the late Jacob Henry and Anna Wilson Goss.
Dorothy was a lady of grace and passion. She was a life long member of Temple Emanuel and a member of the Temple Emanuel Sisterhood. Her philanthropic endeavors included being one of the founders of the Eastern Music Festival, a patron of the NY Metropolitan Opera, long time supporter of the Greensboro Symphony and its Guild, and many other philanthropic organizations throughout Greensboro. She was a founding member of the Sedgefield Women’s Club and served as Honorary Chair of the Greensboro Symphony Debutante Club.
Surviving her are her sons: William A. Frank and wife Hughlene of Greensboro and Barry S. Frank and wife Eugenia of Greensboro and Raleigh; grandchildren, , Katie Payne Springer, Kelly Elizabeth Phillips, Lydia Elaine Leggett; and great-grandchildren, Mia Springer, Michael Springer, and Zoe Phillips.
The family expresses their deep appreciation for the many years of kind care and love of Alice Evans as well as to her wonderful other caretakers Annie Morrow, Loren Lee, and Ilberta Lawson.
