

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at First Moravian Church. Committal services will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Mrs. Grant was a native of Greensboro, the daughter of Robert Douglas and Minnie Louise Hilton Hayworth. She was a member of First Moravian Church and the Agape Circle. A humanitarian that enjoyed volunteering, she served at Potter’s House for twenty years. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed music and cats. She spent a lot of her time socializing with others and could be found at the Coliseum Café every Friday evening. Mrs. Grant was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur Edward Grant, brother, Julius Hayworth, sister, Louise Hayworth Fagan, and brother, Robert Douglas “Dick” Hayworth, Jr.
Mrs. Grant is survived by her son, James Edward Grant (Pam) of Bethany, daughter, Jane Grant McKinney (Charles R.) of Greensboro, step-son, Stanley Allen Freiling of San Antonio, TX, sister, Helen Sanginite, brother, Tommy Hayworth (Carol), sister, Madeline Manning all of Greensboro, grandchildren; Robbie Grant, Justin Grant McKinney and two cats, Baby Ray and Topsy Andy.
Mrs. Grant is also survived by her extended family of nieces and nephews: Toni and Randy Price, Kent and Beth Carter, Marian Carter, Nelle and James Parlier, Eleanor Barrett, Eddie and Emily Fagan, Vince Mastanduno, Gene Hayworth, Steve and Claire Wilson, Doug and Val Wilson, Allan and Betty Wilson, Sandra and Robert Martin, Lisa and Brian McCulloch, Grant and Nancy Alberts, Alice Cosner, Michael and Geri Alberts, Hartley "Bud" Bergstrom, Jr., Eunice Kenneally, and Rosemary Canavan.
The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers, Teresa Allred and Clara Chandler, special support friends, Willie McClure and Tina German, Dr. James Kim and his staff and Mary Prevost - Gilbert at Greensboro Medical, nurses and support staff at Cone Memorial Hospital and Beacon Place.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the church’s Old Fellowship Hall.
