

Funeral services will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 10:00 am. Edell will be laid to rest immediately following the funeral service in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born in Cheraw, SC to the late James F. Hall and Lannie Frances Huggins Hall, Edell was a longtime member of Fairfield United Methodist Church in High Point, where she assisted with the church’s food bank. She worked in the foodservice industry with a passion for nourishing the elderly. Edell was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all of those who knew her. She enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting beautiful blankets, and helping others. She was compassionate and kind to all she met. Her strength and determination were awe-inspiring.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Edward “Ed” Sanchez; her brother, James “Hip” Julius Hall; and her sister, Sadie Campbell.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Margaret Allen (Tom) of Myrtle Beach; sons, Charles “Ray” Allen (Shelby) of Asheboro and Roger “Dale” Allen (Connie Gail) of Archdale; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 special loved ones very dear to her heart, Brandi and Aaron McNeill of Asheboro, whose love and devotion were gifts that Edell cherished.
