Elizabeth Bibber, Lib Southard Campbell

Janie Elizabeth Southard Campbell (Bibber, Lib), 83, went home to be with her Lord peacefully on March 6, 2013 t Hospice Beacon Place. She was born April 3, 1929, in Rockingham County, NC, the daughter of Frances Williams and William Henry Southard, Sr.

Elizabeth was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. She was retired from A & P Grocery as a bookkeeper and Moses Cone Hospital Medical Records Data Tech. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Edgar E. Campbell, a son, Barry Campbell. Also, her brother, William (Bill/Junior) H, Southard, Jr., Son-in-Law, Kenneth Richard McCorkle and four other grandchildren Dylan Jared (D.J.), Faith Gale, William Ray and Kelly Lynn Nelson.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Gayle Campbell McCorkle of Climax, NC and fiancé Frank M. Havens, of Asheboro, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Tony F. and Shafika Campbell of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are two grandchildren and their spouses, granddaughter, Tonya Sisk Nelson and spouse, Marc Nelson of Pleasant Garden, NC and William Chad Sisk and spouse, Kim Dawn Sisk of Greensboro, NC; great grandmother to Heather Sisk, Dakota Nelson, Callie Nelson and Caden Sisk. Also surviving is her close pet companion “Sassy”.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 10th, 4:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Pastor Michael Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park beside her beloved husband. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm till service time on Sunday.
