Elizabeth Nance Griffin, 90, formerly of Greensboro, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 in Kennesaw, GA. She was born on October 30, 1924 in Guilford County, the daughter of Thurston Wilcox and Otis Cleo Quick Nance. She worked with Western Electric and retired after 26 years of service. She was a former member of the South Elm Street Baptist Church and the Ladies Mission Circle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Griffin in 2001. She is survived by her children; Earl Randy Griffin and wife Prunella of Greensboro, NC, Penny LaMon Fagin and husband Ken of Marietta, GA, Connie Lee Johnson and husband Dr. Ernest Johnson of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Timerie Podell and husband Clint of Marietta, GA, Paul Johnson and wife Leigh of Wilmington, NC, William Johnson of Wrightsville Beach, NC; great grandchildren, Issac Podell, Rowan Podell, Maddox Johnson, and Madelyn Johnson.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, 4:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park with Dr. Ernest Johnson officiating.
