Eunice Elizabeth Benton Daughtry

Eunice Elizabeth Benton Daughtry, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 19, 2021. She passed away peacefully at Spring Arbor of Greensboro where she resided for the past three years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Ida Benton, a brother, Linwood Earl Benton, and two sisters, Doris Mae Grant and Ida Belle Harris. She married the love of her life, Henry Franklin Daughtry, on January 12, 1947, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children, Mary Daughtry Dancy (James, deceased) and Steven Henry Daughtry and wife Pam. She was proud to be called Grandma by her grandchildren, Andrea Harrell (Cooper), Krystle Allred (Bennett), and Trey Ellington (Carla) and Great-Grandma by Alyssa, Lincoln, Summer, Tatum, Vivienne and Addison.

Eunice and Henry loved traveling until their health prevented them from doing so. Eunice loved her church, enjoyed traveling with the seniors and baking cakes for every occasion. She was a member of Aycock Fellowship Ministries for over 50 years. She retired from Lorillard Corporation with over 25 years of service.

Mrs. Daughtry will lie in state at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Aycock Fellowship Ministries on January 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., the funeral following at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Facial masks and social distancing are requested. The service will be live streamed through the Hanes-Lineberry Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aycock Fellowship Ministries, 1036 S. Josephine Boyd Street, Greensboro, NC 27403.
