Eva Jean Torbett Smith

Eva Jean was born on JUne 6, 1934, the daughter of Jack and Ruby Mangrum. She was a member of Parks Creek Baptist Church. She was employed in Greensboro with the Guilford County Health Department. She will truly be missed, but we that are saved will see her again one day.

Services to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Reverend Eddie Brewer of State Street Church of God, Marion, NC officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Evan Jean was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sarah Fowler. Those surviving are her husband, James Calvin Smith of Dickson, TN; daughters, Janice Caufman and husband David of Garner, NC and Pamela Swink and husband Mike of Madison, NC; Calvin Porter Torbett and wife Janese of Sweet Water, TN; brothers, BEnny Mangrum and wife Lilly, Lester Mangrum and wife Ann, James Mangrum and wife Tammy, Paul Edward Mangrum and sister, Linda Sue Edwards and husband Pat; step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
