Dr. Eve-Anne Eichhorn

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday November 9 2018, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 607 North Greene Street, with Rev. Sarah Carver officiating. Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive.

Dr. Eichhorn was born October 13, 1928, daughter of the late Claude Gettier Allen and Elizabeth Lassiter Allen, in New Bern, NC. She graduated from Woman’s College in 1949. Teaching at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University, she earned her Doctorate in vocal pedagogy from the University of Colorado Boulder. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

In addition to her parents, Dr. Eichhorn was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Fagan. She is survived by her son, Rick Eichhorn of Greensboro; daughter, Debbie Eichhorn White and husband, Russell of McLeansville and grandchildren, Geordan and Leah Eichhorn as well as many loving extended family and friends.
