

Funeral service will be on Wed., January 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Everett is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann Ravenel Saslow, and 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson; and his sister, nephew and niece. Everett married Ann Ravenel in 1949. Their three children are Everett Jr. (Kathryn Lochra) of Greensboro; Elizabeth (Charles Howland) of Wynnewood, PA; and John (Virginia) of Greensboro. Ann and Everett’s grandchildren are Loch (Jacki) and Theo Saslow, Carolina and Baird Howland, and Baker and Everett Saslow. His great grandson is Benjamin Saslow. Everett’s sister is Nancy Regensburg of Seattle whose children are Ann Regensburg of Seattle and Bob Gruner of Mill Valley, CA.
Everett owned and operated Saslow’s Jewelers and Henebry’s Jewelers since graduating from UNC-CH in 1948, working with both his father Barney and his son John in the business. Everett served both in WWII and the Korean War. In WWII, his role included bomb disposal in the Philippines and Japan.
Everett will be remembered by many for his lifelong love for his family, the game of golf, for UNC-CH athletics, and for travel. Everett also worked as a volunteer tutoring at Cone Elementary School and as a volunteer at the Greensboro Historical Museum.
Following the funeral service at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on January 23 at 2:00 pm., the family will receive friends at the Church. The family will receive friends at John and Virginia Saslow’s home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greensboro Historical Museum, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Greensboro Urban Ministry, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Wesley Long Hospital.
