I'm so sorry to hear of George's passing. I new him through UNCG and specifically the Rugby Club. The club was a driver for our college social scene, weekend games and epic post game parties.
I ddnt play myself, skinny and slow was not a recipe for rugby success, which made me a bit of an outsider, however so, George was always a welcoming presence. He radiated a calm confidence that made him a pleasure to hang.
After college, in search of construction  supplies one day. I ventured into Ensco and was so happy to catch up with George again. 
His divine spark made George was one of those rare and special people that you're always happy to encounter through life.
Condolences to his family, may he rest in peace.
I'll look forward to seeing him one day again at that big rugby party in the sky

So sorry to hear about the death of George.  Praying for both of you.  

The Chou Family.

Words cannot express how much I am going to miss my Uncle George. As the only little girl in the family, he spoiled me rotten. He was also a fierce protector. One of my core memories that I'll cherish is he would sit me on his lap and play games with me. I am heartbroken over all the future major life moments he will not get to be a part of. But I am so glad I get to remember the times I had with him.

I remember two weeks before our wedding and honeymoon George broke his wrist on the rugby pitch. He skied with his cast.  One run he fell and kept his arm in the air so as not to break the cast or injure his wrist further.  He was a trooper going to all the different ski areas I dragged him to. Rest in peace, George.

I had the pleasure of knowing George for over 40 years, we worked together, as a team mate and an opponent on the rugby pitch, but most honored to have been able to call him a friend.  To friends, team mates, and opponents, we are all better people for knowing George.   
    Steven, Micheal, and Sue, I am sorry for your loss, and hoping that the memories of all the great times, bring you joy during this time of mourning.

I was so blessed,as were many others ,to have met George on the Rugby pitch. We played many years together with the Triad Dawgs and Oakley’s Raiders. George taught me the game. He was a leader in every aspect of the game and in life. Most importantly, George was a true friend. If George was your friend, you knew he would always have your back and that he would always be 100% loyal. He was a MAN’S MAN. But the best of George, was fatherhood. He was dedicated to his sons to the Nth degree. Always supportive, loving and Proud !!!!!     Stephen and Michael please know your Father’s loyalty is transferable . If I can ever help you please reach out. Your father would have done the same. I will miss him dearly, but remember and respect him forever.    Joel Oakley

So this was the last time I had the honor of cutting George’s lovely locks and it was quite the undertaking…it took three of us to get the job done, but he was a trooper and I’m sure it probably felt good to him to get off some the more than plentiful hair, especially on his face! I will truly miss our visits and our occasional outings to listen to music. On my last visit, George’s nurse while administering his meds stated, “I know he was a good man because of all his visitors and his son has never left his side!” Well that pretty much did me in, but it is true…he was loved and he loved his family! R.I.P and I will see you on the other side my friend!😘❤️

George was tough yes, and we all knew that and at times felt that but George was a softy at times also. I remember when my dad passed at a young age and I was living in Gboro and playing Rugby with George. George was very concerned for me and let me know that on numerous occasions. He was an incredible friend to many of us and I cherish those memories. I am saddened by his passing at a young age and feel for his family. We will all miss him and always reflect on our fond memories of him. Rest in peace HelmetHead.

George was a good friend and an even better man. I had the pleasure of meeting George in college and playing Rugby with him.
