Gregory Allen Loyd died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Services to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Gregory was a business owner in Greensboro NC for 28 years. He was president of Seven Oaks Association in Cherry Grove, SC. This is where he had a second home and loved to be. Gregory took pride in helping others and never meeting a stranger. He was an inspirational believer in our Lord Savior. Gregory was a devoted husband and father to his family.
Gregory was preceded in death by his father, William Loyd Jr. His mother, Anna Loyd survives. He is also survived by his wife of 31 years, Kimberly Loyd. His children are Donna Ann Hackney of Scottsburg, Gregory Branden Loyd and Michele Loyd of Greensboro; son-in-law David Hackney and grandchildren Jessica, Jonathan and Tori of Scottsburg, and sister, Sharon Loyd of South Boston, VA.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408.
