A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 6 at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mr. Christman was of the Methodist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 101st Airborne and Special Forces during the Vietnam War. He retired from the U. S. Post Office with 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Mr. Christman was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Nell Willis Christman.
Mr. Christman is survived by his wife, Rachel M. Christman, sons, Stephen G. Christman and wife, Jeanne of Colfax, David Christman and wife, Gail of Oak Ridge, sister, Betty Masters of Gastonia, grandchildren; Brandi, Ashley and Travis Christman, nephews, Tim and Jeff Masters and niece, Robin Clanton.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm St.
