
Mr. Harvey McClure Wilson, 95, of Kure Beach, formerly of Greensboro, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Harvey was born October 6, 1919 in Greensboro, the son of James Andrew Wilson and Rosa Pearl McClure Wilson.
Harvey was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. He retired from Pfizer in 1975. Harvey was a generous person, always giving and never taking, who enjoyed gardening and giving his produce away among his beach friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed fishing and was outgoing once he became your friend.
In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his wife Mary Kathleen Wilson and his daughter, Susan Kathleen Wilson.
Surviving are his sons, Andy Wilson and wife Teressa of Greensboro and Jim Wilson and wife Brenda of Pinehurst; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
Friends will be received following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
