
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Lakeview Memorial Park with Rev. John Jarmon and Rev. Bud Parrish officiating.
Hazel was born September 2, 1935 in Guilford County to the late John Oscar and Emma Lee Morgan Stevens. She graduated from Rankin High School and was a homemaker, wonderful cook and baker. She was a member of Rankin Baptist Church where she was active until her health began to fail She was an avid lover of pets (Cody) and meticulous about her appearance.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Theodore Wiatrolik; brother, Jakie Stevens and sister Ruby Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Claude Melvin Swift; children, Cynthia Bullard and husband James of Greensboro, Daniel T. Wiatrolik of Greensboro, Joseph Wiatrolik and wife Kelly of Reidsville and Jane Holden and husband Chip of High Point; sister, Edith Watts and husband Lester, and brother Ernest Stevens; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one due in December.
