Mr. Howard Samuel Taylor, 75, a resident of Greensboro, died Monday January 7, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Taylor was born July 4, 1937 in Carter Co., TN the son of Hubert Taft Taylor and Nora Grindstaff Taylor. He served his country faithfully as a member of the U.S. Army. Mr. Taylor enjoyed sharing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Taylor.
He is survived by his wife Brenda N. Taylor of the home, two daughters, Katrina Brown and husband Kelly of Jamestown, Denise Hamm and husband Erich of High Point; two sons, David Allen Taylor of Greensboro, Russell Clinton Taylor and wife Tracey of Greensboro and eight grandchildren, Ethan Brown, Caleb Brown, Noah Taylor, Grace Brown, Joshua Brown, Caroline Taylor, Alex Hamm and Nicholas Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Reverend Clark Langford. Interment with military honors will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family has requested that memorials be made to the Greensboro Hospice and Palliative Care, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405 or to the World Missions with your church or any local church.
