James Lewis Cox

James Lewis Cox, was born May 8, 1936 and passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2022. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be at 10 AM, Thursday, April 28 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Reverends Joe Chandler and Ryan Crowder officiating.

Jimmy was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and worked thirty two years with Signal Delivery (Sears). When he was thirteen he met the love of his life, twelve year old Loretta Burnside. They married and were at one another's side for sixty four years, supporting each other and raising their children in a loving Christian home.

Surviving are his loving wife, Loretta; son, Randy (Missy) Cox; daughter, Tori (Mark) Kenney; sisters, Betty (Wade) Hartman and Polly (Reid) Apple; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death are his son, Kelly Cox; grandson, Lance Cox and brother, Billy Cox.
