

Janice attended public schools in the Sedgefield/Jamestown area, graduating from Ragsdale High School in 1974. She received a Commercial Art degree from Guilford Technical Institute (now Guilford Technical Community College) in Jamestown, NC. She worked as a commercial artist for 30 years in NC, SC and Dallas, TX. She established and managed her own company, Carolina Faux, for several years. Janice also graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, and recently worked for Federal Express and Home Depot in the Columbia area.
Janice professed faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at a very young age at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC, and had membership in other churches in the cities where she lived.
Janice was predeceased by her father, Benjamin David Hicks, on December 20, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Mueller of Columbia, SC, mother Sara Lee Hicks, sister Marilyn Hicks Ledford (Mike), niece Miriam Ledford Vinson (Aaron), and great-niece Emma Vinson, all of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by her father-in-law David Mueller, sister-in-law Vivian (Johnny) Breedlove, and niece Amanda Breedlove, all of Columbia, SC. Many of Janice’s aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
A memorial service celebrating Janice’s life will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3:00 PM, Hanes Lineberry-Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27407. Rev. J. R. Gossett of Community Baptist Church in Greensboro will officiate. Music will be provided by a few of Janice’s cousins. Visitation with the family will be after the service.
