Jeff was a native of Greensboro and grew up in Irving Park, with his parents, father Aubrey Inman and mother, Bennie Lee Inman. His mother was instrumental in starting a school here in the city for treatment of children afflicted with Cerebral Palsy. Both his parents pre-deceased Jeff.
After attending The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jeff found his long-term job – flying! He joined Eastern Airlines as a pilot, and after retiring from Eastern, continued forward, becoming a Captain for Donald J. Trump’s shuttle service based out of New York City.
Survivors include Jeff’s wife, Elaine: her son, Andre Dumont, his wife Elizabeth, their daughter, Dr. Alyssa Dumont, and Elaine’s daughter, Dr. Nicole Stephens, and her daughter, Kelly Stephens, of Las Vegas, NV.
Also surviving is Jeff’s son, Jeffrey Craig Inman, Jr, his wife, Carolyn and their daughter, Madison of Nashville, TN. Jeff’s daughter, Audra Lee Inman, predeceased him on July 8, 2022, in Spring City, Tennessee. Also surviving is Jeff’s Stepson, Alan Baxter Carpenter and his daughter, Elizabeth “Gracie” Carpenter, of Summerfield, NC and Stepsister, Kelley Carpenter, of Charlotte, NC.
Those who knew Jeff will remember his mischievous smile, great sense of humor and kindness and concerns for everyone he knew. His positive spirit will always be with us.
Jeff has taken his last flight – a long one – to heaven, and he is now with God! We all love you and will never forget you.
Complying with Jeff’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or service.
The family wants to thank everyone for their kind and caring thoughts and prayers during this sad time.
