John Wesley Godwin III

John was an Army Veteran, a Vet Tech for many years, and later in life became a CNA II and performed home health care. John had several hobbies which included hunting, hiking, fishing, and a deep love for animals.

He was preceded in death by his father John Wesley Godwin, Jr, his mother Jeanette M. Tant, and his younger brother Timothy Godwin.

John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Merrye B. Godwin; brothers Daniel Godwin (wife Patricia) and Terry Godwin (wife Racquel); sister Karen Roberson; and stepson William Parker. John had several nieces and nephews whom he adored and loved dearly. John is also survived by grandsons Justin Parker, Matthew Parker, and great-grandchildren Mayson and Brynlee. Merrye would like to thank John’s siblings and nephew Derek Roberson for their love, passion, and commitment for John and for helping in so many ways to make John’s last days better and brighter.
