

Joyce Kelley Stroble, 68, of Adams Farm in Greensboro, died Oct. 10, 2012, after a long illness. She was born May 24, 1944, in Scioto County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estel Kelley and Kathleen Arden Kelley, and a son, Jason Lane Cooper.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Stroble, at home, son Christopher Scott Cooper and wife Valerie of Key West, Fla., brothers Robert Kelley (Jeannie) of Winlock, Wash., Earl "Junior" Kelley (Marsha) of Lucasville, Ohio, Michael Kelly (Eve) of Columbus, Ohio, James Kelly (Anne Marie) of Kalkaska, Mich., and sisters Brenda Gayhart (Mick) of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Kathy Dulin of Columbus, Ohio.
She was a graduate of Bloom Local High School in South Webster, Ohio, and the X-ray training program at Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She worked for many years as a diagnostic medical sonographer in Portsmouth, Ohio, and Greensboro, Burlington, and High Point, N.C. She was certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and was a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and the North Carolina Ultrasound Society.
Friends and family are invited to share memories at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, N.C.
