Kandy was born in Winston Salem, NC and grew up in Greensboro where she graduated from Walter Hines Page High School. She managed the deli at Food Lion for many years until she retired. She became a homemaker who loved working in the yard, gardening, canning and cooking. She was an avid reader and loved to read recipes. You could ask her anything about how to cook, grow or can something and she always had an answer. She loved old, classic movies with her dog, Daisy and North Carolina beaches. Kandy was a faithful, loyal friend and wife, a wonderful sister and faithful giver even when she didn’t have much to give. Kandy had an amazing, big heart. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved family, her nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank the Wesley Long doctors and nurses who so tenderly cared for her as she crossed over into freedom with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. No more struggle, no more pain. The best is yet to come!
