Kathryn Elaine Garrett

Ms. Kathryn Elaine Garrett, 74, went to her Heavenly home with The Lord, Monday, December 23, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.Kathy was born September 21, 1950 in Greensboro, NC to the late Marvin and Beatrice Garrett. She was a graduate of Ben L. Smith High School. She worked for Shelby Mutual Insurance Company. Kathy loved to travel with family and friends across the country and out of the country. She enjoyed collecting “Peanuts” characters and memorabilia, watching and reading the cartoon. Kathy loved to work in the yard and she was a great cook and baker.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Beatrice Garrett.

Kathy is survived by her brother, Steve and sister-in-law, Betty Garrett; sister, Anita and brother-in-law, Jonathan Mason; nephews, Bret Garrett (Linda) and Christopher Mason; nieces, Jamie Garrett and Taylor Davenport (Barney); great-nieces, Zoey C., Zoey D., Emma D.; great-nephew, Luke D. and numerous cousins.

A visitation will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, Sedgefield Chapel,6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Guilford Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bud Parrish, officiating.
