Kelly graduated from Elon University in 1998 with a BA in Psychology. After graduation, she moved to Greensboro where she worked in sales throughout the southeast. Following the birth of her second daughter she dedicated herself to raising her girls.
Kelly was a certified wildlife rehabilitator with the Wildlife Rehabilitators of North Carolina. She served as a Youth Group Director with First Presbyterian Church
Kelly was preceded in death by her infant sister Shepherd Robinson, brother Royce Robinson, III “Tres”, grandparents Jake and Esther May Gray, Royce and Dot Robinson and father-in-law Bill Stanley. Kelly is survived by her husband Wes Stanley, and daughters Grayson and Walker Stanley of Greensboro, as well as her parents May and Royce Robinson of Gastonia and her brother Lander Robinson (Kate) of Loftus, Australia.
The family would like to thank family and friends for all the support and would like to express our gratitude to Kelly’s dedicated caregivers, especially Kim Smith.
Kelly will be remembered for her loyalty and grace, as well as for the kindness she extended to all who knew her. She embraced all without judgement and showed endless compassion to both animals and people.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:45pm in the Virginia Gilmer Room.
